Principles for Partnership in Cross-Cultural Human Sciences Research with a Particular View to Archaeology

This conference report outlines the Principles for Partnership in Cross-Cultural Research adopted at a four day seminar held at Riischlikon, Switzerland from September 28 to October 1, 1994 by the Swiss Academy of Humanities and Social Sciences (SAHS) and the Swiss Liechtenstein Foundation for Archaeological Research Abroad (SLFA). The Principles – drafted by archaeologists, anthropologists and experts in law and moral philosophy – include items on cultural responsibility, equal partnership and capacity-building, among others.
