The storymap includes interviews with Maidu elder Lorena Gorbet who discusses how power companies dispossessed Maidu people of their allotment lands for the construction of Feather River hydroelectric projects. She also discusses how Maidu people organized and advocated to reclaim Tásmam Koyöm (Humbug Valley) from PG&E through the Stewardship Council bankrupcy process. She lastly explains how Maidu people are using traditional ecological knowledge to revitalize the ecosystems of Tásmam Koyóm. The storymap also includes multimedia presentations about Maidu history, the relationship between dams and settler colonialism and TEK.
